Description
A couple of years ago, bacon really hit its stride. It was everywhere — in cooking as well as in pop-culture. It even made its way into music and the urban dictionary ( “put some bacon on it” refers to a remedy for when something goes wrong). In other words, bacon makes everything taste better. Not so sure? Here’s a bacon-wrapped appetizer you can try. It’s made with Lit'l Smokies® smoked-sausage links and slightly sweetened with brown sugar…
This three-ingredient recipe is great for any size gathering. It calls for using a package of Hillshire Farm® Lit'l Smokies® Smoked Sausage links, which are made with quality cuts of smoked pork and chicken. Do you need a recipe for a big party or gathering? Just multiply the ingredients by two, three or more.
The sweet and smoky flavors you taste in these Lit'l Smokies® links is from Jimmy Dean’s® Thick-Sliced Bacon and brown sugar. As is, this recipe is extremely kid-friendly. But when you’re entertaining grownups, you can up the heat a notch by adding cayenne pepper to the recipe.
Tip: This entire recipe takes just 35 minutes to prepare and bake. Rather than cooking in your party duds, make your appetizers earlier in the day and then keep them warm in a crock pot. When your guests arrive, they’ll think your Lit’l Smokies are fresh out of the oven.
Slightly sweet and very savory, this irresistible appetizer features bacon-wrapped Hillshire Farm® Lit'l Smokies® Smoked Sausages sprinkled with brown sugar.
