Good and very flavourful. Our broiler is very hot so it burnt the lemons and over cooked the fish. Next time I’ll turn my mighty oven down. I also used all fresh spices. Will have again.

This whole trout was absolutely delicious! The skin got crispy under the broiler and tasted great. The second rack in the oven was a little too hot, so we had to lower the position to the third rack for the last 5 minutes. We also removed the lemon so the skin under it could get crunchy. When serving, be sure to cut the fish in half lengthwise, open up and remove the bones in one piece. Otherwise it’s hard to eat around the bones. Definitely a do-over!

This recipe is so darn easy and so so so tasty
I rubbed the skin side with brown sugar and Italian spices (no salt).
Not only did this trout taste delicious but the presentation looked lovely
When I broiled it, I used a cast iron skillet
