- 3 cloves garlic
- 2 Tbsp. extra virgin olive oil (EVOO )
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 3 Tbsp. flour
- salt
- white pepper
- black pepper
- 1/8 tsp. freshly grated nutmeg
- 1 1/2 cups vegetable stock (broth, or bone broth)
- 1 1/2 cups half and half
- 1 cup white cheddar
- 1 lb. macaroni (ribbed, ziti, penne or short-cut pasta of choice)
