Tops! used a 1.44lb brisket.... just me and the old man.... so sized the portions. sprinkle your rub, don't actually rub your meat. It will in close the cappilaries and lock out any moisture or juices trying to get in. bbq 101. Also... I'm a mother to two young children so i braised the meat in a cast iron after the onion and pepper mixture, ( added two beef broth cubes and some water ), to lock in the flavor then stuck ot on low in the Crock-Pot. whoaaaa deyyyy. awesome!
