- 2 Tbsp. vegetable oil (one that can withstand high heat)
- 1 medium onion (– chopped)
- 1 medium tomato (– chopped)
- 2 Tbsp. seasoning (Trinidad green)
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 2 cans coconut milk (5.6 fl oz or 165 ml)
- 1/4 tsp. black pepper
- 1/4 hot pepper (only if you like your food spicy)
- 1 lime
- 3 Tbsp. vinegar
- 1 breadfruit (“full”, not ripe)
- 2 sprigs fresh thyme (1 teaspoon dried)
- 1 green onion (or chive – chopped)
- 2 Tbsp. cilantro (or shado beni if you can get it)
