- 1/2 cup Shaoxing rice wine (or dry sherry)
- 1 cup low sodium soy sauce
- 1/4 cup rice wine vinegar (unseasoned)
- 1/2 cup honey
- 2 Tbsp. sambal (or chili garlic sauce)
- 1/4 cup hoisin sauce
- 3 1/2 cups low sodium chicken broth (or water)
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. cold water
- 3 scallions (thinly sliced, for garnish, optional)
