    It’s was soooo delish! I added a little hoisin sauce and used five spice because I didn’t have star anise! Yummy!

    I love making this. This particular recipe is golden as is, but using the first couple steps you can add whatever other sauce tastes you like to the pan cooking part and it’s amazing!!!

    Delicious! I didn’t have rice wine so I used sherry instead! Added garlic to the recipe & finished with spring onions & cashew nuts.

    Very good! Used stevia instead of sugar and turned out just as great! Excellent!

    I think I over braised this in the part where it says to turn it up to brown. The liquid just wouldn’t cook out, then it suddenly dried out completely and I was left with no sauce and very tender but shredded meat. It tasted great, but I assume it is meant to be more saucy and have more texture. I will try this again in my Instant Pot, adjust the cooking times and see what happens.
