Tasty. But the batter didn't work, I just got a messy bowl of shrimp and a gooey sauce. I think perhaps the shrimp should have been deep-fried, but the directions just said "fry the shrimp". And one or two other things in the recipe were vague. Would not make it again.

Excellent! Brought it to our Christmas in July. A great memory of all our vacations in Myrtle Beach. Now I have to make it every year-it was a huge hit! Added Sriracha to the sauce, not enough "bite" to the sweet chilli.

Absolutely perfect! Loved them just like a restaurant!
I used milk didn't have buttermilk still came out awesome! Definitely a recipe for the books!
