- 1 head roasted garlic (medium, or, 1 Tablespoon minced, garlic, see ingredients below for whole roasted garlic)
- 2 tsp. fresh thyme
- 1 cup dry white wine
- 1 lb. ground beef chuck
- 15 oz. crushed tomatoes (2 cans, , or small diced tomatoes, with juice)
- 6 oz. tomato paste (1 can)
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil leaves
- 1 Tbsp. Italian seasoning
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 cup beef bouillon (or more)
- 1/2 cup beef stock
- 1/2 cup half and half (optional)
- 1 lb. pasta (cooked and drained)
- Parmigiano Reggiano (cheese to serve)

- 2 sprigs thyme
