This is great! Crunchy, chewy topping with luscious ‘peaches and cream’ cake texture. I used cinnamon once and pumpkin pie spice another instead of nutmeg; both work wonderfully. A dash of salt or salted butter helped too and vanilla is a must. Cheap Walmart peaches work fine. I tried peaches with juice and also syrup. Just drain and they’re good. I cut the peaches a bit smaller the second time to make more bite-sized.
Excellent with vanilla bean ice cream. Also good hot and cold.

Hubby says this was the best cobbler he has ever eaten!
Added all of suggestions, melted butter longer in microwave, added vanilla, used brown sugar, added vanilla etc.
This is my go to cobbler recipe from now on. 🙂
