- 1/2 tsp. cumin seeds (ground roasted)
- 1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
- 3 Tbsp. chopped fresh cilantro (finely)
- 1 hot green chile (finely chopped)
- 1 tsp. fresh lemon juice
- 7 oz. coconut milk (well stirred)
- 3 Tbsp. vegetable oil
- 1 tsp. black mustard seeds
- 3 cloves garlic (finely chopped)
- 10 curry leaves (note instructions are different for fresh or dried)
- 1 1/4 lb. medium shrimp (peeled and deveined)
- 1 1/2 lb. fish (firm, like mahi mahi in 1" dice)

Loved it. Not enough veggies though so added peas and 4 fresh tomatoes. Doubled the spices. Also used coconut water (to not have unhealthy fats) and no sugar but coconut flavdrops. Only used shrimp no fish.

I made this with sour cream instead of coconut milk because I didn't have any coconut milk. And I also added some paneer. Turned out delicious!

Just used red hot pepper instead of green and simmered the sauce with shrimp for a few minutes. Otherwise, it's perfect, if you like hot Indian food. Curry leaves are important, as they add special flavor and aroma to the dish.
