  • 2 pounds butternut squash (or any squash, cooked and puréed until smooth)
  • 32 ounces organic low sodium chicken broth (divided)
  • 1/4 cup coconut sugar (organic, or brown sugar)
  • 4 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon ginger (ground)
  • 1/2 teaspoon sage (ground)
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/8 teaspoon allspice (ground)
  • 1/8 teaspoon cloves (ground)
  • 1 pinch thyme
  • 2 cups half & half (organic, optional, but I liked it)
  • 1/4 cup sherry
  • parsley (optional garnish)
