I have only once met a recipe that I followed, did not turn out well, but was able to "fix" it.........until now...... And how on earth do you mess up a macaroni salad? I've made a gazillon of em! This was terrible, horrible and I could not fix it. If you really look at it a tsp of salt? No way I cut that in half, still it was salty. With the tang of the Miracle Whip and the vinegar it was like bitter. Tried adding 2 tbls of sugar..... Helped but no where near enough. I'm leaving a review just so I do not mess up and make again! The dressing is flat out terrible. Should be called "Prank Macaroni Salad"!

Very good. Took it to a family cook out and everyone liked it, too. I made it the day before I wanted to take it and it was perfect the 2nd day. Usually the 2nd day it would have been dry and more dressing would have been needed. I thought it was better the 2nd day. I added yellow and sweet relish.

I did not use any egg or celery salt. Increased the vinegar a smidge. Turned out creamy and very good!

Turned out just like my mom used to make. She was a spouse of a military member also.
