- 1/3 cup maple syrup (optional if you want it to be sweeter but I went without)
- 1 1/4 cups whole wheat flour (all purpose is okay)
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. baking soda
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans (toasted, or walnuts, optional)
