- 2 cups tomato sauce (or 1 15-ounce can whole tomatoes, puréed)
- 1 Tbsp. worcestershire sauce
- 1 Tbsp. red wine vinegar
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 1 pinch ground cloves
- 1/2 tsp. dried thyme
- 1 pinch cayenne pepper
- 2 freshly ground black pepper (turns of)

I tried this today and enjoyed it for me it needs more cayenne. I like it hotter.

Used impossible burger and so added about a tablespoon more oil. Was quite tasty, although next time I will reduce sugar a bit.

dash of cinnamon because i did not have ground cloves. also added a TBS of tomato paste.

This was delicious. I ended up using cumin instead of cloves and thyme but I'm sure it would be just as good as is! So much better then canned or packaged seasoning.

It was good. I just used dried onion instead of the carrot, celery, onion mix. All the rest of the ingredients are staples on hand so super easy and flavorful.
