Description
Only a few pantry staples stand between you and your new favorite pancakes! These tender, fluffy, melt-in-your-mouth pancakes are slightly sweet, with an added tanginess thanks to buttermilk. Vanilla adds extra flavor, while butter creates those crispy edges. All you need is a dollop of butter and maple syrup on top, and you’re ready to enjoy the perfect stack. The recipe, which makes 12 or 13 pancakes, is a Yummly original created by Dude That Cookz.

- 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 2 1/2 cups buttermilk
- 7 Tbsp. salted butter (melted, divided)
- 2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- butter (for serving)
- maple syrup
- strawberries (or other fruit; optional)

Directions
- Add flour, sugar, baking soda, baking powder, and salt to a large bowl and lightly whisk to blend.
- Add buttermilk, 3 Tbsp. melted butter, the vanilla, and eggs to bowl. Whisk until just combined, being careful to not overmix. A few lumps may remain and batter will be thick.
- Heat a large frying pan over medium heat. Add 1 Tbsp. melted butter to the pan. Add 1/3 cup pancake batter to the pan for each pancake. Cook pancakes until bubbles form on the surface, 2-3 minutes. Flip pancakes over and cook until golden brown, an additional 2 minutes. Transfer pancakes to plates or a platter and repeat to cook remaining pancakes, adding melted butter as needed.
- Serve pancakes with more butter, maple syrup, and strawberries if you like.
