Turned out great!! Made them mostly for my mom and now making another batch!!

First time making gingerbread. I used mostly margarine (some butter) and chilled for 2 hrs. It made over 30 cookies that are really soft and taste great. I baked for about 12-14 min. Next time I might try squishing the balls down a bit before baking to make them a bit more dense.

They turned out really good. They were hard to roll in you’re hand because they were so sticky. I ended up spraying my hands with oil to make them easier to roll.
Why are the ingredients different in the directions than the recipe?

soft and tasty. make sure to use good quality cookie sheets so the bottom doesn't burn. and be careful not to OVER cook them. 8 minutes per tray at 350 degrees worked well for me.
