Added the extra clam juice, doubled the canned clams, yellow onion, and a touch more vegetable broth to cover the potatoes.
Would make again.

Perfect! I made exactly as written and it was great! I did add 1 bottle of clam juice which is optional in the recipe.

It was ok. I've used better recipes in the past. Don't get me wrong. i enjoyed it & so did the rest of my family. However, it turned out a little on the sweet side. Not sure what happened. I was just expecting a more savory flavor.

This was very good, i added crab and halibut because I had it in the freezer and added Thai fish sauce otherwise this was on point

Awesome! I got tired of clam chowder always being out of stock for my dad, so I decided to make this one and freeze it in soup size bags!

Good eats had to add more salt, pepper, & thyme. Didn’t want to put bacon in it so used left over bacon drippings I saved from before. Not enough fluid to bring the potatoes and carrots to a bowl added 1/2 cup of broth and 1/2 cup of white wine for the boiling. At the end I Put it into a sourdough bowl. Family loved it

I really like this recipe, although I like a bit more seasoning and have adjusted to my preference. It is delicious

it was a hit with my fam!
i will say i don't feel it needs the chives, its already pretty onion-y. I didn't have celery but replaced w Celery seed n no probs. also, i used milk and heavy cream instead of actual half n half. I added a dash more salt and pepper and had no dried thyme so i added fresh, it looks so pretty in my soup. Guess you can say i used the recipe more as a guideline lol but i feel you should cooks w what's handy and fits the moment

Very good!!! I did not add bacon, only crumbled some on top and garnished with chives. I did add some worcestershire sauce, a little hot sauce, some cayenne...and added about 2 tbsp red wine vinegar at the very end.

So I was looking for a low calorie, flavorless soup with not a lot going on. If that is what you are looking for, this ain't it. This chowder is spectacular. Simple in terms of instruction and technique but rich, hearty, and just wonderful. So much going on with the chowder, the bacon, the green onions..... so nice! A dash of Tabasco and some goldfish crackers (it's all I had) and man!!! Gone! My four and seven year olds scooped it up like it was candy! Make again? Only if I am not in the mood for a boring, ordinary, flavorless soup.
