- 9 cups ice cubes
- 1 chicken (4-to 5-pound, giblet/gizzard packet removed)

Well worth the time and effort to use this brine for your chicken or turkey. It produces a flavorful bird and the gravy the bird will produce after being brined like this is amazing!
