I used Royco brown onion soup mix and it came out just perfect, lovely thick and tasty gravy for rice! Perfect for the working mom!

Used to make it all the time, but stopped being on the soup box, so came here to fine it. I knew about the flour but couldn't recall the correct amount of water. Will make w/o changes but have made it using the pan grippings as well.

I used this for a London Broil. I prefer a more oniony sauce. This worked out fine. I did not make any changes and I will make it again the same way. I may even cook the roast in it the next time,

I used this recipe with some thin sirloin steaks. I browned the steaks on each side, placed them to the side and made the gravy as instructed. I placed the steaks in the gravy in a glass baking dish and placed them on low heat in the oven for about 15 minutes. Everything was delicious and everyone loved it! I paired it with mashed potatoes with sour cream and chives, corn and I tossed a salad. This recipe is a "keeper" just like the burgers I make, I add a pack of beefy onion soup and it's ALWAYS a hit at my house.

Just like Theresa W. found the recipe on the soup mix and have used it for years, however, since I relied on the box for recipe I didn't memorize it. So I came here to get the recipe. I use it with hamburger patties that I make rather on the thick side with bacon wrapped around them. We grill the patties on our charcoal grill and are delicious with the gravy and rice.

Found this recipe on the box of soup mix while camping, and used it over some hamburger patties that I had added some of the soup mix to. The next box I bought did not have this recipe on it, so came here to find it. It is my go-to beefy gravy. Since it's just the two of us, I use about 1/2 of the package in the burgers, then add a tablespoon of flour to my pan drippings and mix the remaining soup mix with water and add it to the pan. It's just enough for us, and so easy.

I'm happy I had pack left. I poured some over some oven backed beef ribs. Left some to use on the mashed potatoes. Haven't tasted it yet but it turned out to be the perfect consistency.
