- 1 Tbsp. ginger
- 2 lb. flank steak
- 1/8 tsp. salt (flake)
- 2 Tbsp. scallions
- 1 tsp. toasted sesame seeds
- salt
- 2 cups canola oil
- 20 cloves garlic
- 1 tsp. water
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. sesame oil
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. olive oil
- 2 shallots (thinly sliced)
- 1/2 tsp. ginger

Directions
- Make marinade: In glass baking dish combine soy sauce, molasses, sugar, oill, pepper and ginger. Toss beef into marinade. Cover and let marinate overnight
- 11/2 hours before serving, make garlic puree. Preheat oven to 250 degrees. In a small saucepan, pour oil over garlic, then roast in oven until completely soft, 1 hour
- Remove roasted garlic from oven and increase temperature to 400 degrees. Strain garlic over a bowl, reserving oil. In a food processor, puree cooked garlic. Stir in 1 tsp water to stabilize emulsion. Blend half of reserved cooking oil into puree until combined. Season with 1/4 tsp of salt
