I’ve made this recipe several times and loved it on each and every occasion. I sauté the onion and mushrooms in a pan, sear the meat a bit on the stovetop too, and then throw everything into my beloved crockpot.

It was really excellent. But it was one of those dinners where I found a good recipe, bought good noodles, organic beef, just really started something nice and got to the end of the recipe to find out I needed to simmer for 2.5 hours and the fam it asking me if it’s almost ready. Fortunately I just got an instapot for Christmas. 25 min on the beef stew setting and stick a fork in it. Great dinner.

Delicious!!! I left out the horseradish because I don’t like it and didn’t have any. It was still yummy.

Took some liberties with the recipe but stayed true to the spirit. I used a 50/50 mixture of ground beef and ground venison. I also added some dried morels that I rehydrated, sliced and simmered in the beef broth. Fixed it in a fry pan.
What attracted me to this recipe was the use of horseradish. Wife and I agree it was fantastic and I’ll be making this again!

Followed the recipe but instead used a 2 lb tri-tip, salted heavily with flake sea salt, seared, then cubed. I opted for enriched egg noodles as the bedding for the stew and the meal turned out excellent for the little effort needed to create it.

This was a huge hit-especially with my 18 yr old son. Will definitely be the only stroganoff recipe I’ll be using from now on! Thank you!

it took me longer because of the prep work. It tastes great will make again and again.

Very good! I added celery and used fresh garlic instead of garlic powder and shallots instead of onions. Very easy and it turned out delicious.
