- 2 Tbsp. tamari (can use soy sauce instead, but tamari is usually low sodium)
- 2 Tbsp. Dijon mustard
- 1 1/2 cups quick cooking oats (I had regular rolled oats which I ran in the food processor for a minute)
- 1/2 cup pinto beans
- 1/2 cup black beans (or dry red)
- 1 tsp. ground cumin
- 1 1/2 tsp. chili powder
- 1 carrot (medium, grated)
- 4 cloves garlic (very finely chopped)

Perfection! These turned out so fantastic! Every other bean burger recipe I have ever tried resulted in patties that would not stay together; they were either too moist or too dry and just crumbled apart. Not these! Followed the recipe exactly and they held together perfectly and were absolutely delicious!
