I made this frosting 100 percent by hand, and it could not have turned out better. I used roughly 1 tablespoon of almond extract, and my boyfriend couldn't get enough of it.

I've tried many recipes and this one really hit the spot, I added about half a teaspoon of almond extract as well and used water instead of milk due to lactose intolerance and added a bit more water to desired consistency. I've always either used just butter or just crisco, this is a very nice combination of the 2.

It went well, considering this is my first time making frosting of any kind. However it was not as stiff as I would have hoped. Not sure where I made the mist up but I was pretty exact on everything. It’s a good basic recipe that is tasty and new baker friendly.

amazing!!! so yummy, i just used less sugar than you, about 2 cups rather than 4
