  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (homemade, if avoiding sugar, or 1tsp bought)

    Wasn’t firm like flapjack should be, was more cake like and gooey, not in a rush to put banana in flapjack mix again. Tasted good (bit too sweet for me) wouldn’t repeat.

    Great recipe! I added a very small amount of date syrup for a slightly darker colour and threw some mixed seeds into them. I also put a little bit of glacé icing, for added sweetness, and some more seeds on top, for texture and flavour. Great texture (baked on 140 fan assisted) for 25 mins and hold their shape but are lovely and fudgey.
