The recipe is indeed better when cooled. At first when I tried one, I didn’t think it was very flavourful. A few hours later and even the next day I found it to be both flavourful and filling.
One adjustment. I made them the size of regular baked cookies, used quick oats, and only baked them for 10 minutes. That was the most time they needed. I recommend checking how the baking is going after 9 minutes.
