- 1 garlic clove (minced)
- 1/4 tsp. red pepper flakes
- 1 1/2 tsp. sea salt (or more to taste)
- 1/2 Tbsp. cumin seeds
- 2 cups spinach leaves (loosely packed)
- 1 sweet potato (small or 1/2 medium, peeled and finely shredded)
- 1 beet (small or 1/2 medium, peeled and finely shredded)
- parsley leaves (large handful each, optional)
- 2 cardamom pods (crushed, green shells discarded, optional)
- 1/2 tsp. mustard seeds (optional)
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 2 1/2 Tbsp. sea salt
- 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1 lb. turnips (spiralized or peeled and sliced into sticks or any other way you prefer)
- 1/2 beet (small, peeled and sliced)
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 garlic clove (thinly sliced)
- 3 sprigs fresh dill (or dill flower, optional)
- 1 dash red pepper flakes (optional)
