- 1 pkg. Honeysuckle White® Lean Original Turkey Breakfast Sausage (1 lb. per package)
- nonstick cooking spray
- 1 cup white onion (or yellow, finely chopped)
- 2 cups mushrooms (finely chopped)
- vegetable oil (or olive oil)
- 1 loaf frozen bread dough (thawed, 1 loaf is about 1 lb.)
- 1/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 egg (beaten)
- 8 fresh sage leaves
- salt
- freshly ground black pepper

Directions
- Preheat oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and coat lightly with cooking spray.
- Coat a large, preferably nonstick, skillet with cooking spray, and cook the onion until softened but not brown, about 3 minutes.
- Cut the sausage into pieces, and sauté with mushrooms. Cook until no liquid remains, but mixture is still moist.

i added sourcream to the the dough fOr added flavor AND paprika to the meat mixure..also used sea salt and whire pepper instead of black pepper.
