It turned out great but I added two beaten eggs in with the cheddar, butter, and half and half while making the sauce. Adding the eggs and substituting the heavy cream made it creamier and overall a richer Mac and Cheese. 🙂 The only thing is if you use half and half and eggs of heavy cream you have stir it longer to make the sauce spoon thick. I will definitely make this again..thanks for the great recipe base. 😋

Yum!! It was so good. My entire family loved it although they’d prefer less breadcrumbs next time so I’d probably use only 1/2. Still, delicious, and will make it again!

Very amazing! My family will not look at another box of Kraft dinner ever again! Always use heavy cream tho! I tried with half and half to cut down the calories and was not good! Cheese sauce curdled

I loveI love this recipe! Very creamy! I added thinly sliced onions to the sauce, boiled the noodles with fresh garlic in the water, and added some ground red pepper to give it some heat.

It turned out super awesome! I've made this dish about 3-4 times now, and everyone loves it! Definitely one of my favorites!

I played with the cheese until I got the consistency I wanted. I used sharp cheddar, Gruyere, parmigiana and cream cheese along with the heavy cream and butter. I added a little nutmeg, a little cayenne and about a T of Worcester sauce to taste. I think the heavy cream and the cream cheese put this over the top.

I cooked the noodles for just a minute longer and used half sharp and half mild cheddar. Even our pickiest eater loved it. Yum!!!

Creamy and delicious. I made 3 servings and it came out really well. I baked the Mac and cheese for 10 mins and then added the bread crumbs and baked for another 15.

I had to substitute heavy cream for heavy whipping cream and I used 3 cups Colby cheese and 3 cups cheddar. It came out super creamy and crunchy. I will definitely make it again!

Yummy. I added some garlic powder and onion and used half and half instead of heavy cream. Probably a week’s worth of fat per serving.

My daughter and I liked it. Not my fave but very easy and not spicy for the kids as no onions. The topping was yummy especially. My son and husband, who are very picky, did not eat it.

I toned down the fat when I prepared this recipe. I didn’t have heavy cream on hand so I googled substitutions. Generally while cooking/baking I tend to fake it in terms of exact measures and ingredients. And that’s what I did here.
My ingredients were: penne noodles, 1% lactose free milk, margarine, 5% sour cream, medium cheddar cheese, bread crumbs, seasoning salt.
My version was tasty but probably not as tasty as the original recipe.
