- 4 mahi mahi fillets (though I do prefer fresh, I use frozen, defrosted mahi mahi from Costco for convenience!)
- 3 tsp. canola oil (or your preference, I used grapeseed oil)
- 1/2 tsp. sesame oil
- 1 1/2 tsp. 5-spice powder (you can find this in the Asian section)
- 1 tsp. minced ginger (fresh or jarred)
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)

Flavor was great, but I may have cooked the mahi too long and dried it out. Will make it again, but try some sort of sauce to serve with.

Definitely did not like this recipe… Didn’t like the seasonings or how it was prepared at all.

What a waste of a perfectly good filet of mahi mahi very disappointed with this very bland recipe even after adding a little mesquite seasoning
