- 1 cup all purpose flour
- 3/4 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp. ground ginger
- 1/3 cup light brown sugar (packed)
- 3 Tbsp. salted butter (makes about 2 tbsp of brown butter)
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup apple (peeled minced fresh, I used one small apple and minced it using a food processor)
- 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 3 Tbsp. salted butter (makes about 2 tbsp of brown butter)
- 1 Tbsp. maple syrup
- 1 Tbsp. spiced rum (I used Captain Morgan Private Stock)
- 4 Tbsp. unsweetened almond milk
