- 1/2 cup brown basmati rice
- 1 Tbsp. ground flaxseed
- 2 Tbsp. water
- 2 Tbsp. olive oil (divided)
- 1/2 cup onion (chopped)
- 2 cups mushrooms (chopped)
- 15 oz. lentils (BPA free can of, if using dried use green lentils yield 2 cups when cooked)
- 1/8 cup chopped cilantro (optional, tho I highly recommend)
- 1/2 tsp. sea salt (Pink Himalayan)
- 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
- 1 tsp. dried basil
- 1/3 cup old fashioned oats
- 3 Tbsp. bbq sauce (more or less depending on your taste)
- 2 Tbsp. vegan Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp. liquid smoke

This was awesome!!!! Even had my 10yr old son try it, who doesn't eat anything btw. He loved them!

The mixture was very sticky and hard to form into balls. Maybe I did something wrong. Baked them in the oven instead of frying them and then the next day they were much firmer. The flavor was good though.
