- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. sea salt
- 1 stick unsalted butter (cold, cut into small chunks)
- 1/2 cup shortening (best if chilled in the refrigerator)
- 1/2 cup ice water
- 6 apples (I like to use several varieties for a variable texture: Golden Delicious, Granny Smith and Honeycrisp)
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 Tbsp. flour (Wondra is my favorite)
- 1/2 lemon
- 1 tsp. canela
- 1/2 tsp. grated nutmeg (freshly)
