- 4 cups apple cider (for brine)
- 1/3 cup coarse salt
- 2 bay leaves
- 8 cloves (whole)
- 2 pork chops
- 2 Tbsp. pork rub (your favorite)
- 1 cup apple cider (for smoker)
- 2 tsp. butter
- fresh thyme (for garnish, optional)

Directions
- Mix the apple cider, salt, bay leaves, and whole cloves together.
- Add pork chops to the brine.
- Let the pork chops sit in the brine overnight in the refrigerator.
