Made it in the past with identical recipe once, the second time I cut the cider in half to 2 quarts, kept the apple juice at a gallon, used 1 cup of brown sugar, 1 cup of white, and everything else in the recipe the same.
For me that was the keeper. You can play with the recipe as needed. Then you can soak it
In cider. Lol
