- 1/4 cup light brown sugar (unpacked)
- 1/2 tsp. canela
- 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
- 1/4 tsp. allspice
- 1 pinch salt
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 3 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. canela
- 1/4 cup roasted almonds (pulverized, not almond flour, optional, but highly recommended)
- 1/4 cup cookie crumbs (I recommend gingersnap or snickerdoodle, optional, but highly recommeded)
- 2 cups buttermilk
- 4 Tbsp. unsalted butter (mostly melted)
- 2 large eggs
