Lovely crumble!
I would advise adding more flour, more cinnamon, and maybe 0.5-1 more apple. I made the crumble mixture and it was a bit too much like play-dough, so I added heaped tablespoons of flour until it was more like chunky breadcrumbs.
With those adjustments, this crumble is added to my baking repertoire, right next to cinnamon rolls. :)
Highly recommend.

Actually combined this with a different apple pie filling and baked individual servings worked well quicker cook

Have to admit, I tweaked the recipe a little bit, but this is perhaps the best apple crumble I’ve ever made. Super simple, but perfect.
Substitutions: salted butter (I didn’t have any unsalted on hand), replaced 100g of the flour with rolled oats for texture, and in the crumble topping used half brown and half white sugar.
The one caution I would give is that, depending on the pan you use (I used a smaller, deeper dish) you might have quite a bit of the topping left over... but that just means you can make another batch tomorrow!

The recipe uses too much butter, it ended up making the crumble more doughy than crumbly.

Horrible. Don’t ever make this. It tastes shocking. Apples don’t cook well, too sweet, and is mushy.

Turned out great except I added 4 cups of apples and added about 1/2 cup oats into the crumble turned out great

Made the apple sauce as per instructions but guesstimated the crumble topping quantities and it was soooooo good!!

Exactly how I remember apple crumble from my youth, a splash of cream and its magic. (I don't use cinnamon and its still great)
