- 4 lb. pork shoulder
- kosher salt
- black pepper
- 2 Tbsp. canola oil
- 1 Tbsp. liquid smoke
- 4 garlic cloves (minced)
- 1/2 cup apple cider
- 2/3 cup ketchup
- 2/3 cup apple cider
- 1/2 cup honey
- 2 garlic cloves (minced)
- 5 Tbsp. apple cider vinegar
- 2 Tbsp. Dijon mustard
- 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp. onion powder
- 1/2 tsp. smoked paprika

Directions
- Season the pork all over with salt and pepper. Heat the oil in a Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Add the pork to the pan and sear until golden brown on all sides. Put the pork in your slow cooker and add the liquid smoke, garlic and apple cider. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours. The pork will easily shred with a fork!
- To make the BBQ sauce, combine all ingredients in a saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a boil, then reduce and let simmer for 45 minutes, until thickened. Let cool completely.
- Serve the pork on your favorite rolls with the BBQ sauce!
