- 1 cup apple butter (store-bought, spiced or plain)
- 2 medium apples (peeled, cored and grated, I used Cortland but any tart, crisp apple will work)
- 1 cup pecans (or walnuts, chopped)
- 1 cup apple cider (good)
- 1 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/4 cup whipping cream
