- 1/2 cup basil (chopped)

- 1/3 cup olive oil
- 2 Tbsp. red wine vinegar (more to taste)
- 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 1 garlic clove (finely minced)
- 1 Tbsp. shallot (finely minced)
- 1/2 tsp. honey (or maple, optional- see notes)
- 1 tsp. Italian seasoning (or dried oregano)
- 1/4 tsp. salt (more to taste)
