- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 3/4 tsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. cinnamon (divided use)
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 6 Tbsp. salted butter (sliced into six pieces)
- 3/4 cup milk (2% is fine)
- 1/2 tsp. almond extract
- 15.25 oz. Bartlett pears in heavy syrup (can of sliced, Reserve¼ cup syrup. Drain the rest or store it for another use.)
- 1/4 cup syrup
- 1 can pears
- 1/2 Tbsp. amaretto liqueur (can omit if needed)
