I just made this and tweaked it a little bit.
Instead of honey I used about half a tablespoon of Splenda. It was delicious and satisfied my hunger for chocolate cake. Im diabetic and losing weight so this recipe really helped me.

Nice quick snack for this type 1 diabetic's sweet tooth. I added E.D. Smith's reduced sugar maple syrup instead of honey. Seemed to work. Mine was a bit gritty in texture while chewing. Could have been because my cocoa is hand-milled by a friend in Grenada!

I bake with almond flour to avoid carbs from various wheat flours. Not best for diabetic to make a mug recipe using 2 tbsp honey. Tried it anyway. Flavor of honey affects cocoa flavor. Won’t make again because of addition of honey

it was ok im not suee if i need to turn the power down on my microwave or i didnt follow something right on the recipe but I thought the taste was good but the texture was dry. Im gonna try one more time before I unyum it and see if it was the microwave problem

It turned out really good! I would decrease the honey to 1Tbs next time because it was a little sweet.

This is so handy and great for when your having a hankering but don’t feel like baking or buying cake with poor ingredients in it. I added vanilla to give even more of that cake flavor. It’s chocolatey delicious.

I substituted Swerve for the honey, and while it came out nice and light, it was a little dry. I'll try it with honey tomorrow and if that helps, I'll update my rating. Otherwise, it wasn't too sweet and only had a light almond after taste. I'd recommend it!
