- 1 tomato
- 1 piece onion
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 tsp. vegetable oil
- 1 piece bread
- 1 pinch ground clove
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1/8 cup almonds
- 1 boneless skinless chicken breast
- 1/4 cup tomato puree
- 1/2 jalapeno (optional)
- salt and ground black pepper

Directions
- Grill the tomato and blend it together with the onion and garlic. Set aside in the blender.
- Add the clove, cinnamon, bread, and almonds to a skillet with the olive oil. When slightly browned, remove the mixture and blend it together with the tomato, adding the jalapeno if desired. Set aside.
- Remove any excess oil from the skillet and brown the chicken until cooked thoroughly. Add salt and pepper to taste.
- Add the puree to the chicken and lower the heat. Add water if the mixture seems very thick. Cook for 5 minutes, covered.
- Serve along with tortillas or white rice.
