- 3 buns (whole pan de sal, or dinner rolls shredded into pieces)
- 1/2 cup milk (to soak bread)
- 1 onion (whole, chopped)
- 2 tsp. garlic (minced)
- 4 Tbsp. soy sauce (thick, divided, use 2 Tablespoons for burger patties, 2 T. for glaze while cooking)
- 4 Tbsp. cider vinegar (divided, use 2 T. for burger patties, 2 T. for glaze)
- 2 tsp. ground black pepper (divided, use 1 teaspoon for burger, 1 tsp. for glaze)
- 1 tsp. salt (divided, use 1/2 teaspoon for burger, 1/2 t. for glaze)
- 1 cup seltzer water (for glaze)
- 1 onion (whole large, sliced for garnish, optional)
- 4 buns (large, pan de sal (Filipino buns) or burger buns for burger sandwich or any type of round buns)
- 1/2 lb. assorted vegetables (Green beans, asparagus, eggplants, corn, for grilling)
- 2 eggs (whole)
- 2 tomatoes (whole, sliced, for garnish)
- 1 cucumber (whole, peeled, seeded, sliced, for garnish)
- 8 lettuce (fresh, leaves for garnish)
