Sounds good and will try it. Ladies, I haven't tried this yet but would like to recommend that you drain your sauerkraut first in a colander, place sauerkraut in a bowl of cold water and begin squeezing out the water from handfuls of sauerkraut, repeat once more. I normally do this when making sauerkraut, it will remove the sourness. and you won't need to add the honey. Had to add the stars in order to post.

Worth adding the onion and honey to this one. Really enhances the depth of flavor. A little on the sour side if you aren't into that. Quick easy and tasty otherwise.

I'm not a saukraut person but made it for family who are. This was so good, it won me over. I added in all the extras the blog recommended...1/4 an onion and 2 tablespoons of honey. I also browned the sausage before adding it into the slow cooker.

It was yummy but very sour
I don't know if slowcooker enhances that in the kraut
