- broth
- 2 whole cinnamon sticks
- 2 whole cloves
- 1 star anise
- 2 tsp. coriander seeds (whole)
- 2 onions (large, peeled and quartered)
- 4 inches fresh ginger (piece, chopped into thick pieces)
- 6 cups low sodium beef broth
- 1 Tbsp. fish sauce
- 2 cups water (optional)
- 200 grams roast beef (sliced thin, or any leftover meat that you have)
- 250 grams rice noodles (I like to use vermicelli)
- 1 jalapeño (sliced, and seeds removed, if preferred)
- 1 lime (cut into wedges)
- bean sprouts
- fresh cilantro
- thai basil (Fresh, or regular basil, in a pinch)
- hot sauce (Your favourite)
