    It was ok, but on the bland side. If I make this again, I would add more lemon and some additional herbs, like thyme. I would also use flour rather than corn starch as the thickener. Also, as the veggies (I used asparagus) are par-cooked separately anyway, I would keep them separate and then drizzle the sauce over when serving.

    This dish is outstanding! The chicken came out very tender and the sauce was amazing! I added just a touch more chicken broth and cornstarch to get a thicker gravy-like texture. This one is definitely going into my “go to” list!

    I love lemon and chicken together. Chicken Piccata, Avgolemono (Greek lemon and chicken soup), Lemon Roasted Chicken, on and on. Adding vegetables to any kind of lemony chicken is a win win in my book! While I like this recipe for its simplicity and the delish instructions for the cooking the chicken, I felt it missed on that complex depth of flavor I’m looking for in an all-in-one dish. I added a bit of finely chopped white onion, a big splash of Chardonnay, and a little chopped fresh thyme to the sauce just to give it a little bit more oomph to suit my taste. Leftover spice mixture may benefit from adding to hot oil/butter in pan to bloom flavors before adding liquids. For my taste, the pepper and chile flakes were subtle. So if you are accustomed to hot, spicy food, feel free to add more here. Sauce was nice with the egg pasta I choose to serve on the side. A solid 3 1/2 stars for ease of prep and general like-ability. Most eaters will really enjoy this dish.
