- 8 sheets lasagna noodle (whole wheat, about half a box)
- 1 lb. ground turkey (or lean ground beef if you prefer)
- 1 tsp. minced garlic
- 1 yellow onion (or small white, chopped)
- 24 oz. pasta sauce (fat free, divided into two parts)
- 14.5 oz. diced tomatoes
- 1 sauce
- 3 oz. tomato paste
- 1/4 tsp. ground black pepper
- 1 egg
- 2 cups fat-free cottage cheese
- 2 tsp. dried parsley
- 1 1/2 cups mozzarella cheese (fat free)
- 1/2 cup low-fat mozzarella cheese (or use fat free cheese anyway -- I just think it tastes and looks nicer with the melted low-fat mozzarella cheese, and it only adds 1/2 point)
