- 1 Tbsp. maple syrup (or honey, agave nectar etc)
- 2 Tbsp. water
- 1/3 cup coconut milk (full fat, canned)
- 1 pinch sea salt
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. chia seeds (ground, or flax + 1/4 cup water)
- 3/4 cup flour (an all purpose blend, white or brown rice etc)
- 1 1/2 cups almond meal (/flour)
- 2 Tbsp. arrowroot
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 tsp. fine sea salt
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/4 tsp. canela (this is just to bring out the chocolaty-ness)
- 1/4 cup extra virgin coconut oil (+ extra for greasing, in a semi solid/soft state–not melted!)
- 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup natural sugar
- 1/4 cup coconut milk (full fat, canned)
- 2 tsp. vanilla extract
