- 6 bone in skin on chicken thighs (large, or 1 whole chicken, cut up into 8 pieces)
- 1 tsp. sea salt (finely ground)
- 1/4 tsp. ground black pepper
- 1 cup white wine (I used Sauvignon Blanc, but if you’re on a Whole30 you can substitute bone broth and a splash of balsamic vinegar)
- 4 sprigs fresh thyme
- 1/2 lb. bacon (5 to 6 thick strips)
- 1 cup sliced shallots (about 3 large)
- 1 apple (cored and sliced in ½-inch-thick half-moons, I use Fuji)

Amazing! The only thing I did differently was I cut the apples into bit sized pieces. My Husband said it was the best thing I ever made, and I cook a lot!

Amazing! Love the flavor combo. This is a must try recipe! Made it exactly as the recipe calls for. Definitely will be coming this again in the future.
